Membership and Subscription Rates:
Membership
The requirements for Membership of the College are set out in Section 1 below. Each member will be entitled to an appropriate form of Certificate under the Seal of the College and may use after his name the designation “MHKCRRT” with parenthesis for their specialty assigned e.g. (CT) provided that he remains in good standing with the College by virtue of payment of the annual subscription.
Fellowship
The requirements for Fellowship of the College are set out in Section 2 below. Each fellow will be entitled to an appropriate form of Certificate under the Seal of the College and may use after his name the designation “FHKCRRT” with or without parenthesis for their specialty assigned e.g. (CT) provided that he remains in good standing with the College by virtue of payment of the annual subscription.
Associate Membership
The requirements for Associate Membership are set out in Section 4 below. Associate members are not entitled to use any designation of the College.
General
The Council shall have absolute power and discretion in deciding upon any application for admission to Membership or Fellowship and its decision shall be final, and it shall not be bound to give any reason for its decision.
No member shall be in good standing and entitled to enjoy any of the privileges of membership if he is in arrear with any fee or subscription due from him for six months and has not fulfilled the requirements for maintenance of the respective membership.

(1) Members

Candidates may be admitted as Members of the Hong Kong College of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists (HKCRRT) and are entitled to use the title “MHKCRRT” with a specialty abbreviation in parenthesis e.g. (CT) upon satisfying the enlisted requirements below and payment of the appropriate fees.

General requirements:

Being a Radiographer registered with the Hong Kong Radiographers' Board; AND
|
|
1.2.2
|
having had 5 years of post-registration working experience in radiography, medical imaging or radiotherapy; AND
|
|
1.2.3
|
in possession of the following academic qualifications (1.3 below) AND
|
|
1.2.4
|
having acquired clinical experience as outlined for individual specialty AND
|
|
1.2.5
|
being recommended by the Council.
|
1.3
|
Academic requirements
|
|
1.3.1
|
A Master degree or above** as recognized by the College; OR
|
|
1.3.2
|
a recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, AND
|
|
1.3.3
|
at least one specialty qualification recognized by the College OR having passed the examination set by the HKCRRT.

Clinical requirements
|
|
1.4.1
|
Clinical requirements for individual specialty are laid down in the respective Specialty Requirements.
|
|
1.4.2
|
The clinical component requires the candidate's Supervisor to acknowledge completion of the required clinical examinations.
|

|
Special requirements
|
|
1.5.1
|
The academic requirements could be waived for Registered Part I Radiographers or Radiation Therapists who have been such in full-time practice for 25 consecutive years and who have attained such professional status as in the opinion of Council merits such recognition will be considered for generic membership upon recommendation by the Council.

|
Maintenance of membership
|
|
Maintenance of membership is laid down in individual specialty.
|
**Holders of non-professionally related master degree may be considered for membership but will not be awarded a specialist status (no parenthesis behind title). They need to maintain their membership by acquiring the required continuous professional development (CPD) credits within the profession.
(2) Fellows
2.1
|
2.1 Candidates may be admitted as Fellows of the HKCRRT and are entitled to use the title FHKCRRT upon satisfying the enlisted requirements below and payment of the appropriate fees.

2.2
|
General requirements:
|
|
2.2.1
|
Being a Radiographer registered with the Hong Kong Radiographers' Board; AND
|
|
2.2.2
|
(i) having 3 years' post-specialization clinical experience OR
(ii) a Doctorate degree in radiography or radiotherapy or related fields with 8 years post-registration relevant experience of which a minimum of 2 years should be in clinical or in possession of a Part 1 registration, AND
|
|
2.2.3
|
having 4 relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals OR
episodes in teaching / lecturing / oral presentation in open; AND
|
|
2.2.4
|
being recommended by the Council.
|
|
|
|
(3) Honorary Fellows
3.1
|
Persons not in the Radiography Profession may be admitted as an Honorary Fellow of the College if they

|
have substantial contribution to the profession locally or internationally as recognized by the Council; and
|
|
3.1.2
|
are recommended by the Council
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(4) Associates
4.1
|
Persons not qualified to become full member of the College may be admitted as Associates if they are
|
|
4.1.1
|
Hong Kong Registered Radiographers or equivalent, residing in or outside Hong Kong OR
|
|
4.1.2
|
radiography students in training AND
|
|
4.1.3
|
recommended by the Council.
