Accreditation of qualifications for induction to Membership and Fellowship of HKCRRT

Minimum Academic Requirement for Membership: 
A recognized Master degree or above in Mammography; OR
A recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or equivalent, plus a Mammography specialist qualification recognized by the College; OR
A recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or equivalent, plus attained a grade of 75% or above in an examination set by the Mammography Faculty Committee of HKCRRT.

Clinical Requirements (member): 
Cases or duration requirements:- 2-year full time equivalent clinical experience of Mammography. Single handed 500 sets of 4 views Mammogram in a year preceding the application for members
Log book submission with supervisor's signature for the latest 250 sets of mammogram:
Film rating > 75% should be in Perfect or Good Group > 97% should be in P, G, M groups in the PGMI rating system - endorsed by supervisor

Clinical Requirements (fellow):
Cases or duration requirements:- 3-year full time equivalent post-specialisation clinical experience in Mammography 50 single handed stereotactic interventional procedures including stereotactic biopsy, vacuum assisted biopsy and galactogram in 2 years. 30 Ultrasound guided interventional procedures. Clinical involvement in breast imaging for an average of 150 hours per year
Competency requirements:- Acknowledgement of completion of the required clinical experience in MAMMO by the candidate's supervisor
Log book with supervisor's signature
Certified by Clinical centre's supervisor

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
To remain current the membership and fellowship accredited, the MAMMO practitioners must accrue at least 45 CPD credits in 3 years, of which 15 must be related to mammography.
